Jingmei Su  苏靖媚

Jingmei holds a B.A, in English Translation from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies in China. She permanently moved to the U.S. in 2013. Currently, she is an MBA student at the Sonoma State University Wine Business Institute graduating in May 2016. She is interested in learning and gaining experience in all aspects of the wine business. She is concomitantly pursuing her Diploma of Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET). She is planning on obtaining a certificate in viticulture and oenology program from Santa Rosa Junior College. Jingmei is amazed by the wine industry and thrives in combining her language skills with her wine education. .

Tim Hanni MW  蒂姆 - 汉尼

Tim Hanni, one of the first two Americans to earn the title of Master of Wine and a faculty member at Sonoma State University's Wine Business Institute teaching the Wine Business Certificate Series, the first international online wine business program. He has been conducting wine business and educational programs in China for over 25 years and is the only North American director for the Chinese Food Culture Research Association. He is the author of "Why You Like the Wines You Like," and co-author with American journalist Sasha Paulsen, of "The Master's Secrets to Enjoying Wine in China," scheduled to be published in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau in 2015.

Suzanne Lin 林子美

Suzanne Lin has a B.A. Degree in International Studies and a minor in Chinese from University of California, Irvine. Her interest for wine started 15 years ago, when her parents brought her to Grgich Hills Estate for a wine tasting. Not only did she enjoy the wine, she was enamored by Miljenko Grgich's ability to craft a Chardonnay from Napa Valley that beat the French wine at the Judgement of Paris 1976. Now she works at the winery as a Tasting Room Associate. She will pursue her Diploma Degree of Wine and Spirits Education Trust (WSET) so she can promote California wine to the Chinese community. In addition, she is fluent in Cantonese and learning Mandarin.

Delia Otero 黛丽尔-欧蒂柔

Delia Otero is the Administrative Manager at Eco Global Solutions. A company that specializes in development of industrial fuel additives and lubricants, mainly for transportation and oil fields. Delia has extensive knowledge in consumer banking, she provided broad based financial products to clients gaining 12 years of experience. She is a Napa Valley College student. 

Sasha Paulsen  莎夏 - 葆森

Sasha Paulsen is a veteran journalist, who earned a masters degree at the University of California at Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism, after studying English as an undergraduate. She lived and worked in Paris, Munich and Boston, before returning to her hometown, Napa, in the Napa Valley of California in 1999. Since then she has been features editor, in charge of food, wine, arts, lifestyle and travel content, for the Napa Valley Register. She is also the editor of Inside Napa Valley, a quarterly magazine published by the Napa Valley Register.

Dr. Joe Chuang is CEO and chairman of Eco Global Solutions, Inc. in Napa, CA, a company specializing in the research development, production, and distribution of special lubricants for oil/gas drilling operations, and fuel additives. Dr. Chuang is also owner of Firefly Vineyard established in Napa, CA producing premium wines for exclusive exportation to China. Also chairman of Flower Valley Winery in the Huailai County near Beijing, Has traveled between U.S. and China since 1979.

Ariel Jackson holds an MA in linguistics from UC Davis and a BA in Spanish and Theater from Southern Oregon University. She has worked with Tim Hanni on The Master's Secrets and Why You Like the Wines You Like and has taught English, Spanish and introductory linguistics. In addition to proficient Spanish, she is also learning Welsh and Mandarin..

Cherie Huang 黄欣

Cherie came to U.S. in 2013, after receiving her Bachelor of Business Management from Beijing Jiaotong University. She fell in love with wine, which drives her to seek more wine knowledge in California. She continued her MBA study at Cal Polytechnic State University and Viticulture & Winemaking Technology in Napa Valley College. She finished her Diploma Degree of Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) based in London in one year. She is continuing her Master of Wine (MW) study now, and is traveling and exploring different wine regions all over the world. She helped translate MW Tim Hanni's book "The Master's Secrets Enjoying Wine in China" to be published in China in 2016. She wants to contribute her business knowledge and wine enthusiasm to the development of Chinese wine culture, and to build the bridge between China and California.

Wayne A. Batwin  魏博闻

Wayne Batwin is President of PRIME Market Access International in Napa, CA, a management consulting firm, and has more than 34 years of experience in international food and agriculture research and policy, marketing and market development. Mr. Batwin is an international agricultural specialist who lived for many years in Shanghai where he was director of the U.S. Agricultural Trade Office at the U.S. consulate. Has directed over 160 international studies, primarily for private companies and trade associations, on the trade and investment opportunities and strategies for successful market entry in 46 foreign markets in Asia, Latin America, Europe, North America and Africa. Along other projects, he is currently working with California wine companies and the Napa Valley Vitners exploring the China market and just completed work with U.C. Davis on an agribusiness executive training program in Shanghai. 


Oliver Yang  杨眉

A veteran consultant and senior specialist in international business facilitation with 25 years of work experience, he graduated from Beijing International Studies University, proficient in English and French and has participated in trainings by the Israeli Foreign Ministry, UNITC, and USDA. He started his first career in 1993-2005 with China Council for the Promotion of International Trade where he served as representative for organizations from Canada and France. While working in France, he extensively researched the wine, champagne and brandy production areas. ​From 2005-2006 he served as a marketing specialists for ATO of the U.S. Embassy in Beijing. He organized the US Pavilion during the FHC 2005 and led a group of Chinese food importers and retailers for a USDA sponsored retail management training. Starting 2006, he served as the marketing officer for South African Embassy in China and has worked subsequently in foreign investment projects by Chinese enterprises. As the China Representative for Cal-China Wine Cultural Exchange (CCWCE) starting March 2016, his first mission is to promote California wines for cuisines in mainstream Chinese Restaurants in China and abroad.

Ava Tang   汤晋懿

Jinyi "Ava" Tang studied dance at the Beijing Dance Academy in Beijing China and performed as a professional dancer with the Five Continental Art Troupe. After, she owned and operated a retail fashion store there and traveled to many European fashion oriented countries. Ava came to the United States in 2012 as an international student studying Fashion Merchandising at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Her focus and education shifted and she now brings her enthusiasm and passion for art to the wine industry.
